What if all furniture would flee from the house?

„Haus Seepferdchen“ located in Dierhagen-Ost is an old eastern-german bungalow from 1954, for many years the place where the petite bourgeoisie lived the dream of the idyll. In the middle of planned economy, border escape, watchtowers and hilarious, naked tourists, it was the place for barbecues, enjoying the sun, gardening and secretly watching West German TV.

In summer 2014 it was confronted being a residency for artists hosted by Galerie Oel-Früh, ending in August with the test run of the Curated Catastrophe Service.

Postscript May 2020:
We built down ”Haus Seepferdchen” in 2015 and turned this hut into a travelling platform for artistic and interventional practice. It has so far been invited to Hamburg, Germany, and Garbicz, Poland.
